Liang Wenchong

Liang Wenchong became OneAsia’s first Chinese champion when he shot four rounds in the 60s to win October’s Midea China Classic. He is also the champion of OneAsia's 2010 season opener, the Luxehills Chengdu Open.

China’s number one, Liang was the first Chinese to win the Asian Tour Order of Merit and make the cut in a Major, and only the second to win a European Tour event after his mentor Zhang Lianwei.

Liang turned pro in 1999, a year after winning a third straight China Amateur Open, and won a host of domestic events before making his breakthrough in 2007 when he won the European Tour co-sanctioned Singapore Masters, topped the Asian Tour Order of Merit and competed in the PGA Championship.

In 2008, he shot an opening 12-under-par 60 on his way to winning the Hero Honda Indian Open, competed in The Masters and made the cut in the British Open.

Last year, he qualified for his second British Open and finished runner-up in the Panasonic Open in Japan and the US$5 million Barclays Singapore Open.
